The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A true master of Chardonnay in the Jura and Mâconnais, Domaine Rijckaert is a name that demands attention. Under the expert hand of Florent Rouve, the range has stepped up a notch, with wines that shimmer with crystal-clear, saline textures, rich structures, and aging done to perfection. These whites are so irresistible, they’ll win over every wine lover.
Wine Delicate and crystalline, the 2022 Côtes du Jura Chardonnay White is a textbook introduction to Jura Chardonnay. With a subtle Burgundian-style aging, natural freshness, and a touch of salinity, it delivers an irresistibly charming profile marked by floral and vanilla notes. Give it a bit of air on opening to let it fully express its finesse and precise balance—this is a wine of elegant maturity and lightness. Perfect alongside freshwater fish or a toasted slice of bread topped with Saint-Félicien cheese.
Vinification Hand harvested. Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation (100% complete), natural thanks to the indigenous yeasts and ageing on lees, without stirring, with regular topping up, for 18 months in oak barrels, 70% of which are barrels containing 8 to 15 wines, 30% newer barrels and no new barrels. Light fining and filtration. Bottled on the estate and by them.
