The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine VALAP has teamed up with Mas Amiel for a high-level wine. A legend of the Roussillon and a champion of biodynamics, Mas Amiel — awarded 2 stars in the prestigious French wine guide RVF — embodies a true chapter of the region’s history. Famous for its sweet fortified wines, the estate also shines in producing dry wines with a pure, vibrant style, crafted from an outstanding heritage of old vines.

Talented winemaker Nicolas Raffy showcases these schist soils streaked with limestone, black marl and granite, carefully identifying the steepest parcels and shaping the finest blends and aging to take them to the top.
Wine The 2022 Red Maury Sec is a masterful blend of Grenache Noir, Carignan, and Syrah, sourced from 17 carefully selected parcels on limestone and schist soils. This wine captures the essence of its terroir with purity and focus, showcasing the vibrant character of the vintage. Vinified and aged in concrete tanks to preserve its freshness and precision, it offers a harmonious balance of ripeness and energy. The palate reveals layers of bright, fresh flavours, a supple texture, and a depth that belies its approachable nature. Elegant and full of charm, this is a wine with both immediate appeal and remarkable finesse.
Vinification Hand harvested in 20kg boxes, 100% destemmed, vinified in concrete and stainless steel vats. Aged for 10 months in concrete vats.
