The estate and the wine |
Quite possibly one of the oldest vineyards in Anjou, Château de Bois-Brinçon began a new chapter with the arrival of Xavier Cailleau, who brought the estate a much-needed boost. Certified organic and biodynamic farming, parcel-by-parcel selection, hand harvesting and carefully managed ageing in barrels or tanks now form the foundations of a serious and highly recommendable range. |

The 2022 Anjou Le Clos des Cosses White comes from young vines in a monopole, exclusively owned by the Cailleau family. On this marl terroir, chenin delivers a remarkable performance, with fresh, pure juice of great complexity. Perfectly aged in large oak casks and barrels, it combines structure, minerality and depth, resulting in a complete and deeply flavourful white. A great wine for fine dining. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee. |
